Sacred Mirror

This art piece concept was a vision of Dexy Valentine from Magic Wands, I was just the Chanel for this creative vision, based on Magic Wands and John Ashton’s song “Sacred Mirror. Today, the song “Sacred Mirrors” By Magic Wands has been released on Metropolis Records. I am particularly excited about the release as it has been a deep reflection of my own personal journey throw heartbreak back to love. As my heart shatters, this is a great reminder to keep on dreaming and never grow bitter. This song has been a very meta experience for me to unpack a song that has strong ties to my own experience. This song has so much depth. I’ve been listening to this every day since I was sent the ruff mix, and every day I find another layer to unpack. I couldn’t be more honored to have my own personal experience of heartbreak to be one of the insertions for this song. So here it goes: “Sacred Mirrors” is a Cosmic love song about two outsiders who find belonging in each other. Their connection is so strong that it becomes a sacred mirror, revealing their truest selves, seeing each other for their full potential, and giving them the courage to dream beyond fear, to the spiritual realm where they can be together always. Through moonlit, infinite imagery, love becomes spiritual awakening, an invitation to grow, to trust the unknown, and to share the most intimate, vulnerable experience: dreaming together. This song heavily reminds me of Alan Watts Philosophy on Dreams and Love. To “dream everything there could be”, brings us back to this very moment. You have to dream big and believe in yourself to achieve your goals and aspirations. To make things a reality, you have to dream it first. Watts believed Love is an energy we possess; to love oneself is to let that energy flow. When we deny the flow of loving energy, we become bitter and destructive. How does one continue to let the energy flow when they are hurt, so they do not grow bitter and dead inside? Forever and always does not exist on this plane; it exist in the spiritual realm. Dreams allow us to enter the spiritual realm. Dreams are acts of love that awaken us to the Spiritual connection we have to ourselves and others. To be a lover, you must be a dreamer. And to be a dreamer, you must be a lover. Forever and always can also be interpreted as the self and soul. We are with ourselves always. The sacred Mirror was merely a reflection or projection of themselves in Jungian terms. The mirror activated something in ourselves. To see what love is and a deeper connection to the unconscious, so they could integrate these lessons into themselves and allow for individualization. This is also a self-love song. The artist no longer needs someone else to carry those traits. This song, in all its beauty, is a reminder to me in my darkness to always keep dreaming. I am love, and that I will still let it flow even in my pain. That love is still all around me, even in our heartbreak, because when we turn away from love, we stop dreaming and growing. We grow bitter and destructive. “I want to dream everything it could be.”
